The Bantam was BSA's long-running cheap two-stroke commuter, starting as a 125 cc copy of the German DKW RT 125 and growing to 175 cc. More than 250,000 were built, and it became an everyday workhorse, learner machine and, later, a trail bike in the Bushman form.
